Arlington, MA . . . On Tuesday, June 10th at 7:30 p.m.,EulipiaJazz — a new production company based in Arlington dedicated to creating opportunities for local musicians and multidisciplinary artists to perform and collaborate — will present the second concert in what will be a three-part series at the Arlington Center for the Arts Theater at 41 Foster Street in Arlington.

The Sounds of Swing Orchestra is comprised of five saxes, four trombones, four trumpets, bass, guitar, piano and drums and was formed in 1978. After many years playing gigs around New England, the band has continued to play every Tuesday night as a ”rehearsal band.” According to Evan Welch, the orchestra's band leader, “The weekly mission of the orchestra is to play swing music for the pure pleasure of playing the music and to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow players. Several of the band members are accomplished composers and arrangers and have added fabulous charts to our library of great music.”

The program will showcase some of the band's original charts along with selections from the band's extensive library. Come share the Tuesday night experience and hear some
great music played by some of Boston's great players.

The June 10th concert will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door. For more information, please visit www.eulipiajazz.com.
